backtagging: I am absolutely okay with this! Life gets us all, things come first. I will keep tagging things/plot a resolution with you as needed.
threadhopping: If it makes sense! Networks I'm more likely to say just go for but for logs let me know if you'd like to just in case it alters any plans.
fourthwalling: Preferably not!
offensive subjects: None

fighting/injuries/death: Absolutely! Deanna knows the basics of hand-to-hand and has learned a Klingon form of martial arts. She can hold her own with an average human but isn't particularly strong herself.

telepathy/psychic abilities: As a half-Betazoid Deanna's psionic abilities primarily manifest in her being an empath, able to read and feel the emotions of others. She is also able to telepathically communicate with others who are telepathic, both reading and communicating with them. She cannot read the thoughts of anyone who is not telepathic.
mental state: Despite all that Deanna has seen and experienced in her Starfleet service she has a healthy mental state, having coping mechanisms for anything that may have been traumatic and is able to deal with the pain of such experiences. She typically has a very light and positive manner.

physical affection: With friends and people she's familiar with Deanna is not opposed to affection, particularly giving a hug. She's a warm and open person and may hug people that are semi-strangers also.

PSIONIC ABILITIES
As a half-Betazoid Deanna's psionic abilities primarily manifest in her being an empath, able to read and feel the emotions of others. She is also able to telepathically communicate with others who are telepathic, both reading and communicating with them. She cannot read the thoughts of anyone who is not telepathic. Whilst Deanna does (without saying anything) actively read the emotions of others she uses it to guide her interactions with people, often not commenting on it unless she knows the person or finds it necessary in the situation. As such whilst Deanna may know a character's emotions I won't and thus unless a feeling is written in a tag she won't suggest how a character may be feeling/bring it up. Additionally, whilst Deanna is an empath she is also a trained psychologist, naturally intuitive even without her abilities. In terms of telepathy, she isn't naturally inclined to using her telepathic abilities given that Deanna often isn't around other telepaths. She'll only communicate telepathically with someone if she knows that it's okay, that perhaps they've done so before and likely only to share a private message rather than to read any thoughts (unless explicitly given to her).

She is welcome to read Harry Dresden's emotions, which likely are loud when he is not actively shielding them, and not there at all when he is. He knows how to still his mind, but does not do so normally.

Jonas does not have any emotion transmission on the normal 'wavelength' so to speak, but it is possible that being around him could eventually have her able to read him? I will leave that up to you, and I am open to her picking up things, since he has zero mental and emotional discipline.

Nathan Summers was taught mental discipline by Jean Grey, but still leaks emotions, so have at for reading his feelings, anytime. And he has the ability to sense sensing, and to boost telepathic contact, just not reach out himself, so if you won't mind filling out his permissions post in turn, if you like. - https://timetravelandguns.dreamwidth.org/1132.html

Then there is Kon, Superboy, who can receive mental impulses and telepathic contact, as well as receiving and sending emotions and physical sensations from other people, but only within 200'. I have no problem with her reading him, though he would, if you allow, feel it, and reply, probably, mentally and emotionally.

His permissions post is here - https://callmesuperboy.dreamwidth.org/3334.html

Lucifer's emotions are pretty easy to read already even for people who don't have the ability to read them. XD What he needs help with is figuring out what others are feeling. So it probably won't take much to figure out how he feels about something...

As for Erik, she's welcome to read his emotions, but if she mentions them, he won't like it much, because it's too close to telepathy and he's a bit a sensitive about his privacy.

eta: if you want them, here are Erik's and Lucifer's permissions posts.

None of my guys have telepathic abilities but she has permission to read their emotions during threads.

In general:

Detective David Loki [personal profile] detectivedwloki - she may feel high levels of stress and tension, even if he may appear professional calm on the surface

Quentin Beck [personal profile] mysterioisthetruth - she may feel a lot of bitterness and simmering anger underneath a broad veneer of theatricality and arrogance

John Morris [personal profile] john_morris - friendly on the surface and there is a true gentleness to him but underneath she may feel some deeper regret and sadness

They all have a lot of issues and could probably benefit from some therapy.

Despite currently rewatching TNG, I don't know how/if Deanna's empathic abilities extend to robots but if it's helpful at all, tech used to directly interface with human nervous systems also functions on Exos, so presumably the Exo brain is somehow structurally analogous to a human one.

Cayde's carefree attitude is a mask he uses to distance himself from the metric ton of grief, trauma, and loneliness he's sitting on. He will deny this upfront and probably crawl out of a window to avoid talking about it, which means you should absolutely go for it.

Also! Cayde has his Ghost, Sundance, a little robot companion, who is fully sapient. (Since she has little in the way of canon characterization I opted for the porter process to make her mute so she won't talk, but Troi can perceive that she loves and believes in Cayde almost the way a parent would feel about a child.)

Then she should 100% be able to get a read on him, he's got human emotions on account of being a human consciousness inside a robot body

(Ghosts are extremely cute!)

Deanna is totally welcome to read the Tenno's emotions but they're usually stamped down pretty hard. Although that may jump out too, I'm not sure. Otherwise, she's mostly just calm with bursts of anger because her "teenaged" years were not handled well. Lots of buried trauma.

Gladion
She is very welcome to read Gladion's emotions! He doesn't have any abilities, even temporary, that prevent emotional reading (only a telepathic one that's temporary if he activates it, which would be announced in a thread/tag if he does so anyway, so normally he's defenseless against telepathy unless otherwise stated).

Most of Gladion's emotions are what you'd expect of a fifteen year old boy from the world of Pokemon, although he's got some major emotional conflicts about his mother which occasionally may eat at him as she is the reason he ran away from home two years prior to his canon appearance point in Sun & Moon. He's a tad emotionally compromised with a shorter fuse, but relatively stable as can be, and his time thus far in MoM has helped him on that.

Izaya
She is also very welcome to read Izaya's emotions and I fully recommend she comment on any of his if they happen to interact. (it could prove amusing or disastrous, both of which I love seeing)

He claims not to really care much about others and just enjoy the chaotic happenings around him or the ones he himself is an instigator of. He's only openly emotive in the negative sense surrounding his nemesis/rival, Shizuo Heiwajima. In the positive(?) sense he's... eccentric and much too excited about his "love for humans", but deep down he does actually feel things, even though he'll let them wash right over him. He's just very good at keeping them in check to the untrained eye.

All three of mine are fair game! None of them have powers that would interfere, although Askeladd does have his own psychic-type powers, described here.

As for general notes- Brandon ([personal profile] codeofiron) doesn't emote much and speaks even less, but he Feels Things deeply. Any emotion he expresses or has is probably a lot more intense than it looks. Wolfwood ([personal profile] mycrosstobear) cares about things more than he usually lets on. And Askeladd (this guy) puts on a very good affable act but he's a mess of rage and sorrow, which she is certainly welcome to notice.

On a scale of 1-10, Wolfwood's self-hatred is about 5 (depends on the day), Brandon's is about 8.5 (actually an improvement for him), and Askeladd's is 11.
